Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)
The Forest Stewardship Council is an international, independent, not-for-profit organization that sets global standards for responsible forestry. FSC standards address important economic, social and environmental concerns in the forest products industry - and are widely accepted by over 85 leading environmental groups. The main tool for achieving this mission is a product-labeling system. The public faces of this system are the following FSC registered trademarks:

Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI)
SFI is an independent, not-for-profit forest and paper certification program that integrates the perpetual growing and harvesting of trees with the preservation of wildlife, plants, soil, water, and air quality. In order to be certified, participants in the SFI program must undergo a thorough, third-party review of their operations. SFI® has two on-product label types:
- Percent Certified Content Labels (Chain of Custody)
- Fiber Sourcing Labels

Canadian Standards Association (CSA)
CSA is a not-for-profit, membership-based organization serving business, industry, government and consumers in Canada and the global marketplace. A leading developer of standards and codes, CSA provides products, services and training that help enhance public safety and health, improve the quality of life, facilitate trade and preserve the environment.

Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC)
PEFC is an independent, not-for-profit, non-governmental organization that promotes an internationally credible framework for forest schemes and initiatives. It does not have its own standard but rather endorses systems it considers credible, including SFI and CSA.

International Standards Organization (ISO, ISO 14000 and ISO 14001)
ISO 14000 refers to a family of voluntary standards and guidance documents to help organizations address environmental issues. ISO is a non-governmental organization established in 1947 and is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. The organization mainly functions to develop voluntary technical standards that aim at making the development, manufacture and supply of goods and services more efficient, safe and clean.
